Ahh, deep inhale, deep exhale. Feel yourself grounding in the vibrant uprising of spring. It has been so lovely and warm and sunny the past couple days here. While basking in summer heat does feel amazing after days of chilly rain, the usual offerings of 50- and 60-degree days coming up seem much more like April, and we don't want to rush things. We'll have plenty hot come summer.
Spring is such a process, a process of a beautiful unfurling. It gives us a chance to check our anticipation and impatience and accept the world around us, accept the present moment. That said, how could you not feel excitement when you see pussy willows, or fuzzy tree buds - or even some first leaves?
We all know the glorious greenery is just waiting to erupt all around us, and it can be frustrating to watch the unfurling take place at what can seem like a snail's pace. With our fast-moving lives, where we are barraged with so much new information and stimuli all the time, tapping into and letting ourselves flow with the current of natural rhythm can be hard.
But breathe it all in, and notice it, notice your frustrations as well. To be aware of ourselves and our feelings is just one more step in our fully becoming a part of our world, and caring about the world.
(Tidy Thyme, this has *what* exactly to do with your products?
Then, too, spring isn't always moving forward at a creep. There are so many workings deep within the green kingdom and beyond our sight, that maybe one day you realize, poof! A tree's buds have exploded into being! Or the crocuses are blooming out of seemingly nowhere.
In sunny, urban places, there are even leaves! And tulips!
The beauty is upon us, dear birds.
So keep your senses open, and love the delights as they come.
(This means Spring Market season is on, too! Keep your eyes on our events page for all the great markets where you can visit us and loads of other awesome makers. We'd love to see you, AND you can support small businesses and local economies!)
Spring joy and blessings,
With love from
The Tidy Thyme Crew
