Oh, dear birds, isn't it magical?
To look out over the distant hills and see them coming alive in a patchwork of the brightest, lightest greens? To see trees erupting in sweet white flowers and red pompoms? This birch is so thrilled it put out party streamers. (Okay, they are called catkins, not party streamers, but their enthusiasm can't be denied.)
Spring is so incredible, this process of becoming that graces our eyes and our hearts every year. The world wakes up from its wintry slumber and dons an airy dress of lacy, delicate color. The leaves will come in and fill the forest with green, but until then we are treated to these filigreed fireworks courtesy of this living sphere we call home, all the while being serenaded by birdsong.
Doesn't it stir the heart? Doesn't it make you fall in love with Mother Earth over and over again? What a blessing it is to see the seasons turn, to recognize the changes and rhythms of life, rhythms that flow through our bodies as well. The greening of the world is the renewal of life, a promise fulfilled year after year. In deep gratitude for that, let's make our own promises to live on this sacred Earth in harmony, with respect for all beings.
In other magical news, we are doing a workshop on The Practice of Intentional Cleaning while we're taking part in The Collective at M & D, which is super exciting for us! Read here to learn more. It's also Spring Market season, so make sure to check our events page for all the places you can find us - like The Half Moon Market coming up this weekend!
Thanks for reading, dear birds, and we hope to see you soon. Go enjoy this beautiful spring!
With love from
The Tidy Thyme Crew
